Robolab

Robotics research and development for industry and real-world environments

Robolab at the University of Tartu Narva College develops and tests robotics, artificial intelligence, computer vision and data-based technologies for industry, research and education.

We help companies, researchers and students explore how robotic technologies can improve efficiency, safety and decision-making in real working environments.

How we can help

Robolab supports companies and organisations that want to understand, test or develop robotics-based solutions. We combine academic knowledge with hands-on testing, prototyping and experimentation.

We can help partners explore robotics applications for:

  • inspection of factory floors, construction sites and workplaces,
  • testing robotic platforms in realistic conditions,
  • using computer vision and sensors for monitoring and perception,
  • developing prototypes for industrial or service environments,
  • evaluating whether robotics could improve an existing process.

Why work with Robolab?

Robolab helps partners move from an initial idea to a tested concept. We can support early-stage exploration, technical prototyping, robotic platform testing, data collection and applied development projects.

Our strengths include:

  • expertise in robotics and autonomous systems,
  • experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision,
  • access to advanced robotics facilities and specialised equipment,
  • fast hardware–software integration,
  • collaboration opportunities with researchers and students,
  • industry collaboration, student projects, internships and thesis topics.
