Top reasons to choose Narva College

Estonia’s vibrant and affordable environment, together with its well-developed technology sector, makes Estonia an attractive place to study and live. With high-quality higher education, internationally accepted degrees and various scholarships, this is a safe target country for international degrees.

Narva is the third largest city in Estonia. It is located at the eastern extreme point of Estonia, by the Russian border, on the Narva River, which drains Lake Peipus.

High-quality education

Narva College offers higher education with the quality label of the University of Tartu, which is in the top 1% of the world’s best universities (see Rankings & Surveys). It is the leading university in Estonia and one of the top universities in Northern Europe.

Forward-looking curricula

Narva College has become one of Estonia’s main training centres for teachers of bilingual general education schools and language immersion. In addition to teacher training, the college offers curricula in youth work, entrepreneurship, project management and IT systems development.

All programmes at the bachelor’s level are taught in Estonian, but please note that you can apply for three of our bachelor’s programmes without knowing the Estonian language beforehand.

Multilingual and multicultural learning environment

The college is characterised by its multilingual teaching and multicultural learning environment. This gives students a life experience that is valued everywhere. Our students can learn a number of languages and pursue a minor specialisation in addition to their chosen major. We strive to supply our students with knowledge and skills in public speaking, entrepreneurship and various pedagogical approaches.

Top-level teaching staff

Our teaching staff are some of Estonia’s top academic experts and recognised practitioners in their field. Half of them either have or are studying for a doctoral degree. We cooperate closely with the University of Tartu, universities abroad and public-sector institutions in the fields of education, psychology and economics.

Attractive environment for learning and living

Our academic building is beautiful and modern, with an excellent atmosphere enjoyed by both staff and students. In addition to lecture halls, we have relaxation spaces for students and a specialised library. In 2020, the college’s new dormitory was completed, which also houses a swimming pool.

Travel the world

Narva College has many international links. Our students have the opportunity to complete a part of their studies in exchange programmes in other EU countries (in the Erasmus programme) or elsewhere in the world.

Live in a safe and digital country

Estonia is famous for its digital society and has the highest number of startups per capita in Europe. 93% of our international students say they feel safe living in Estonia.
