Assistant Lecturer in Software Engineering

Tartu University Narva College invites applicants for the position of assistant lecturer in software engineering. The minimum qualification on appointment is a Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or a related discipline) and a good teaching record.

The Assistant lecturer is an academic staff position in the international and multilingual Information Technology Systems Development study programme. The assistant’s tasks include developing curriculum, delivering lectures, and conducting seminars with a practical work approach. Tasks include also supervision of students’ research projects and development of network with business sector (practitioners).
Requirements for applicant:

  • Master's degree or an equivalent qualification;
  • teaching experience in higher education;
  • very good command of English;
  • experience and knowledge about IT development issues in business sector.

Preference will be given to a candidate with prior work experience in business sector or other sectors outside of education.
Place of work: Narva, Estonia.
Job start date: 1 September 2019.
Full-time position.
Salary base: 1 900 EUR/ month or 22 800 EUR/year before the taxes.
