The public lecture will continue the tradition of public lectures in Narva College organised in cooperation with the Embassy.
From 10 to 17 September 2014, 25 young Europeans from 10 countries of the Baltic Sea region will meet in Tallinn, Narva and Ivangorod for the first »Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue«.
By invitation of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) and the Körber Foundation, they will discuss and explore the history and future of borders and identities. Tallinn and especially the twin cities of Narva in Estonia and Ivangorod in the Russian Federation set the scene for their venture.
Narva is the best place for learning Russian as a foreign language, say 37 students from four institutions of higher education of the United States of America. They participated in the summer school organized in Narva College of the University of Tartu. The summer school lasted for eight weeks. Lecturers both from the United States of America and Narva think that the students’ development in language training has been considerable by the end of summer.
