Tartu University Narva College is looking for

LECTURER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Lecturer is a faculty staff position at the new Information Technology Systems Development study programme. The lecturer’s tasks include curriculum development, delivering lectures and conducting seminars and practical sessions, supervision of students’research projects and initiation of research and development projects in the college.

Basic requirements for an applicant:

  • Master's degree or an equivalent qualification. As of 1 January 2018, a lecturer must hold a PhD or an equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Experience in supervising students’ projects and research 
  • Very good command of English
  • Knowledge about IT development issues in private or public sector

Preference will be given to a candidate with work experience in private or public sector outside of higher education. Good command of Estonian is an advantage.

The place of work is in Narva town, at Estonian/EU-Russian border. However flexible working time arrangement is possible. Job start date: 1 September 2016. This is a full-time position with at least 288 academic classroom hours per month.
